School Routine
The routine is as follows:
8:45am Prepare for classes
8:55am Begin morning session - school parade on Monday
11:00am End of morning session
11:00am - 11:45am Lunch and supervised play break
11:45am - 1:30pm Middle session
1:30pm - 2:00pm Afternoon tea and supervised play break
2:00pm - 2:55pm Afternoon session
Children are supervised after school whilst waiting for parents to arrive or for buses. We take our duty of care in this matter seriously, and ask that we be promptly advised if a change of routine, such as a late arrival to pick up children is likely. The last bus leaves at around 3:40pm.
No supervision is provided after this time and the school office will close.
Communication with Parents
Being a small rural school with a family atmosphere, there is much informal communication with parents before and after school. Teachers may request an interview with parents, as parents may with teachers, to discuss a particular area of concern, but these would be of an irregular nature.
Our main formal communication with parents is through our newsletter that is published once a week on Tuesday. From time to time these are supplemented by letters specific to a particular area, ie Prep, Year 1.
