Principal's Welcome Welcome to the Farnborough State School Website. As a school of around 250 students, we are large enough to offer a full range of curriculum and extra curricula offerings but still be small enough to provide a friendly, caring environment where students thrive academically and socially. At Farnborough State School we focus on developing each & every student to be literate, numerate & active, healthy, engaged citizens.
Our staff is committed to excellence & constantly engage in professional learning to ensure our curriculum is challenging and engaging. We have a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. Our facilities enhance our learning environment. All class rooms are fitted with air conditioners and electronic whiteboards. There is a multi-purposed hall and an adjacent building with a well-equipped Library, a Computer Lab and Science /Art room.The school has a range of sporting facilities including a tennis court, cricket pitch and practice nets, basketball and netball courts and athletics facilities including shot-put, discus circles and long jump pits. Our natural environment is enhanced through the school’s tree-planting program and an established orchard. The school is one of only a few in Queensland to have a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, with gardening and cooking integrated into the curriculum.
